"this is a wooden frame covered with colorful pictures from old magazines i found at work. in a hospital there is always a wealth of used magazines!! yes, i am the girl who tears interesting pages from magazines... i can't help myself!! but i always make sure that they've been well loved before i attack them with my scissors... i decoupaged the pictures to the front of the frame and finished it with a shiny acrylic sealer. the back of the frame is painted flat black... the mirror can be removed to hold a favorite picture."

This unique vase / candle-holder was made from an empty bottle by painting it and using decoupage technique for decorating.

I used water borne varnish to protect the picture. Anyway, the scrubbing can damage the surface of the vase. Clean with damp cloth or cold running watter.

Strips of Handmade Paper with Calligraphy, Tones of Pinks and Corals, Lace, and Flowers.

Strips were applied inside and out....giving it texture and dimension. When dried, 20 layers of a special varnish were applied, every five layers, the cuff was sanded....20th layer was sanded to a hard, smooth satin finish, then buffed.

A Delicate Lace Filigree Brass Heart was permanently added...then Heart Shaped Crystals to give it just enough Sparkle.
